PROLOGUE

Two households, both alike in dignity, in fair Verona, where we lay our scene, from forth the fatal loins of these two foes A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life; Whole misadventured piteous overthrows do with their death bury their parents' strife. The fearful passage of their death-mark'd love, and the continuance of their parents' rage, which, but their children's end, nought could remove.

Rounds of play begins with a meeting of Juliet and Romeo at dance party

(Juliet stands alone, Romeo approached)

ROMEO : M’am.. Alone here?

JULIET : (nod, smile)

ROMEO : Pardon me, I’m Romeo Montague. And you are..

JULIET : Name’s Juliet Capulet

Then they talks all night long together, and they started to feel one same thing, love..

Until the party almost end..

ROMEO : Juliet, shall we meet again?

JULIET : I don’t know.. We can’t meet in the open. You know how our family hates each other

ROMEO : Alright, good night, my Lady. Take care.. (kiss Juliet’s hand)

JULIET : (smile) Good night, Romeo Montague..

(Clear stage)

One bright day, Romeo was taking a walk with his best friend Mercutio. Then they met Tybalt, a member of Capulet’s household.

TYBALT : Hey you dirty bloody human! Where are you going? (cynic laugh)

MERCUTIO : Don’t you have a mirror on your mansion, Tyby? You and your family was the real dirty bloody human.

TYBALT : Tyby? How dare you! Let’s fight and let me show your dirty blood if you’re too scared to make it out of your body

(They pull they sword, then they fight. On one hit, Mercutio sprawl and hold his chest)

ROMEO : Mercy, how bad is it?

MERCUTIO : I don’t know, Romeo.. (cough) If I die, please make him die for me..

TYBALT : (cynic smile, withstand pain in his thigh)

(Mercutio cough again several times, then he passed away)

ROMEO: You frog, Tybalt! Get my revenge for my best friend you’ve killed!

(Romeo pull his sword again, and stick it to Tybalt’s stomach)

TYBALT : (with much effort) You gonna (cough) regret this, Romeo..

(Tybalt died)

Because of Tybalt’s death, The Montague and The Capulet became more furious. The duel between them are increased. But The Capulet’s main target is still Romeo.

At Montague Mansion, in Lady Montague’s workroom..

ROMEO : Mother, help me! I don’t know what should I do now..

LADY MONTAGUE : Son, let me give you 2 options. Head them all or run away from this land for a while. I don’t want you to die too young, especially because that ogres.

ROMEO : Is it okay to just run away?

LADY MONTAGUE : Choose your choice carefully, Dear..

ROMEO : Ok, thank you, Mother..

On the same time, at The Capulet’s mansion, in a living room, Lady Capulet sit down with Juliet and Nurse Mary.

LADY CAPULET : Juliet, at the end of the week you’ll marry Paris. Be ready for that.

JULIET : How can you, Mom? I’m not gonna marry with Paris.

LADY CAPULET : I have decided, young lady. Otherwise, if not to Paris, then with whom?

JULIET : I… I just don’t want to marry yet, Mother..

LADY CAPULET : Ah, who cares?! (leave the stage)

(Juliet cries)

JULIET : Oh, Nurse, you know how I love Romeo. I cant’ marry Paris.

NURSE MARY : I know, Milady.. But maybe you should listen to the Majesty.. Paris’ not bad, right?

JULIET : (sigh) But I don’t want him.. I want Romeo..

NURSE MARY : No, you can’t marry Romeo. He’s Montague, Milady!

JULIET : It is love, Mary.. (walk to the door) Love!

(Stage clear)

Then, just a day before the wedding day, Juliet sneakily met Friar Laurence to ask for help.

On Laurence’s House..

JULIET : I’m sure you know that tomorrow is the wedding day, Friar..

FRIAR LAURENCE : Yes, Milady.. Then?

JULIET : I don’t want to marry Paris. I’ve promised to Romeo I’ll be with him.

Any idea how we could stop the marriage?

FRIAR LAURENCE : Play dead, perhaps?

JULIET : What do you mean?

FRIAR LAURENCE : Milady should take the death-like-comma pills tonight before the wedding so when Lord and Lady Capulet found you they would think you’re dead. I’ll buy the pills for you later.

JULIET : Sounds good.

Friar, mind if help me more? Write Romeo a letter about this, take it to him. He needs to know.

FRIAR LAURENCE : By your commands, Milady..

Juliet waiting at Friar’s house while Friar went to the Medicine Store.

APOTECHARY : Sir Laurence, anything I can help?

FRIAR LAURENCE : Do you have death-like-comma pills?

APOTECHARY : Absolutely. My stock could make a person sleep for a week long. How much do you need?

FRIAR LAURENCE : Give me 10 hours.

(The Apothecary took the pills)

APOTECHARY : Here, 15 bucks.

(Friar Laurence pay, then he went home and gave the pills to Juliet)

The night at Capulet’s house, in Juliet’s room..

JULIET : God, help me and Romeo. Make this pills works as we wanted

(Juliet ate the pills, then she lay on her room)

In the morning..

LADY CAPULET : (sit on a chair near Juliet) Juliet! Wake up! You gotta ready for the wedding!

NURSE MARY : Milady! Milady! (shake Juliet’s body)

Majesty, Miss Juliet is not awaken at all.

LADY CAPULET : What do you mean she’s not awaken at all? (walk to Juliet’s body)

Juliet! Juliet! (shake Juliet’s body)

Is she died? Call Paris now, Mary!

(Nurse Mary out, then in again with Paris)

PARIS : What happened with her? (panic face)

LADY CAPULET : Check it yourself. She’s died, in my opinion.

(Paris held Juliet’s hand, check her pulse)

PARIS : Take her to the tomb in the noon. She’s died..

(Stage cleared)

What anyone doesn’t know is that Friar Laurence didn’t write any letter to Juliet. So, just couple hours after Lady Capulet and Paris knew Juliet’s dead, Romeo came to Juliet’s room.

ROMEO : Juliet.. Juliet.. (repeat till enough)

(Romeo held Juliet’s hand, check her pulse too)

ROMEO : What?? It can’t be happened! Why did you end your life, Juliet? WHY? (little cry)

Then Romeo make a mixture that he learnt for the apothecary for end life just in a couple minutes

ROMEO : If you want us met in the heaven, then now I’ll be there with you (drink the mixture, laid after Juliet)

(silent for a while)

JULIET : What time is it? (looking on walls, then on the floor)

(shocked) Romeo! Romeo, what happened to you? Romeo! Wake up! Romeo!

(Juliet cries, then on the side of Romeo’s body, she got a bottle of deathly mixture)

JULIET : Meet me on the door to the heaven, Dear.. I’ll be with you..

(Juliet drink the mixture too)

The noon after, The Capulet’s truly shocked for having 2 corpse laying in Juliet’s room. Then they contact The Montague for telling them that Romeo’s corpse was there. Finally, after this tragedy, the families are reconciled by their children's deaths and agree to end their violent feud. For never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo
